The founder of Hovland Consulting, Valerie helps non-profits and philanthropies by providing a range of data and analytics products to help further their mission.
Valerie helped develop analytical approaches on a wide variety of domestic and international projects ranging from terrestrial and freshwater conservation to reproductive health and rights during her 11-year tenure with Redstone. Her particular areas of expertise include conservation, climate, and the environment, helping NGOs increase outcome focus, optimization modeling, and GIS analysis.
Before she joined Redstone in 2005, Valerie worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where she focused on innovative technology in advanced vehicles and fuel cell development. She now applies her extensive data modeling experience to assist teams in developing innovative analytical approaches to complex social issues.
