Katie comes to Redstone with several years of experience in nonprofits, administration, and small business ownership and management. During that time, she was able to foster close relationships with a diverse group of business owners, academics, and organizations. This afforded her opportunities to explore many interests and stay involved in local community engagement.

Katie received a full-ride scholarship to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Metropolitan State University. While pursuing her undergraduate degree she participated in Metro’s Honors Thesis Program focusing on museums studies and collective memory.

A lifelong student, Katie is a member of the High Plains Anthropological Society and spends her free time volunteering with Longmont Sister Cities Association, staying active in the beautiful Colorado open space, going to live music and crafting. She is also an avid science fiction and fantasy fan who attends the Denver Fan Expo, Renaissance Fair, and LARP-ing.
