Background

Susan leads communications strategy and content management at Redstone, sharing stories of how the firm helps philanthropies, nonprofits, and governments solve the world’s most urgent social issues.

Prior to joining Redstone Susan spent over 20 years managing communications efforts at both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Across all her roles, making a positive impact on the world has driven her work, ranging from advocacy and community engagement for families of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities to marine wildlife research in support of offshore wind renewable energy. She is skilled in cross-cultural collaboration, community outreach, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Originally from Seattle, Susan earned her Master’s in International Affairs from the American University of Paris while living there with her husband and two sons. When she is not running or playing in the mountains, Susan is an active community volunteer, jumping in to help with everything from website design for a nonprofit community health clinic to bartending at Boulder PRIDE.
