Background

Folu joined Redstone after working as a Human Resources Program Analyst at BlackRock, where she completed rotations in the People Operations department, and supported a project on reforming the global Sickness Leave policy.

Folu graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first class honors degree in Human, Social, and Political Sciences (specializing in Sociology). At Cambridge, Folu founded a social enterprise providing online careers support to disadvantaged students, which was selected for the 2020/21 Innovate UK Young Innovators Award. As a volunteer at the Cambridge Development Initiative, Folu spent a summer in Dar es Salaam working alongside Tanzanian students to provide entrepreneurial resources to young people. She also worked on a research team at the Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning, where she developed recommendations for improving the academic and welfare support offered to Black students at the university. Folu currently sits on the board of trustees at SIEVEMK Gateway, a community-based nonprofit that provides affordable tuition and mentorship opportunities to racial minorities in her hometown of Milton Keynes.

In her free time, Folu loves listening to live jazz music, solo traveling and practicing her French speaking skills.
