Background

Charlie joined Redstone after graduating Phi Beta Kappa from Amherst College, where he majored in Law, Jurisprudence, and Social Thought. At Amherst, Charlie led a student advocacy group called The Better Amherst Initiative, which worked with the college’s administration to expand institutional resources for students pursuing social impact careers. As a part of this initiative, he also co-founded Amherst Students for Democracy, a group focused on reinvigorating campus interest in American democracy and connecting students to democracy-focused internships. He was also involved in various initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, civic engagement, and restorative justice.

Charlie has previous professional experience as a renewable energy analyst at Radia Inc., as a policy intern in Congress following environmental policy, and as a legal research assistant studying the 2020 election’s threat to American democracy.

Between graduation and starting at Redstone, Charlie spent a summer leading youth hiking trips in Norway. In his free time, he enjoys reading, improving his Spanish, and Malcolm Gladwell’s “Revisionist History” podcast.
