Ben joined Redstone from a global trade technology company called Kountable. Kountable builds technology and financing solutions to connect entrepreneurs in their primary markets of Kenya and Rwanda to top global suppliers in technology, healthcare, and industrials. As Chief of Staff to the CTO, Ben helped design and implement a new data model for global trade transactions. He also managed a data migration team as part of the company’s replatforming process. Towards the end of his time at Kountable, Ben transitioned into a broader Chief of Staff role and helped coordinate efforts toward bridge funding and a Series B.
Prior to Kountable, Ben studied Political Economy at Williams College. His main research areas were access to the ballot box and federal child protection funding legislation. While at Williams, Ben worked as Program Coordinator for Kinetic Global where he supported a network of social entrepreneurship incubators at college campuses around the country. He was also Vice President of Student Affairs for Williams’ student government and a four year member of the Williams College Rugby Football Club. Ben was a White House Intern in President Obama’s Correspondence Office in 2016.
Ben is a passionate skier and ski patroller, hiker, biker, and a very bad surfer. He grew up between Colorado, South Africa, and Washington DC and speaks Spanish.
